Position Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Pre-Sales Specialist to focus on Autodesk’s Industrial Construction Business (mostly Mining, Metallurgy, Energetics, Chemical, Oil & Gas). Our Technical Specialists are responsible for leading all technical aspects of an Autodesk sales campaign, using in-depth industry and software knowledge to uncover customer business issues and suggest improvements, thus earning status as a trusted advisor with the customer. The Technical Specialist meets with individuals at all levels in the customer, from executives to draftspersons, in order to understand issues and discuss solutions while evaluating areas of opportunity for expanded implementation of Autodesk solutions. This role will be centred primarily on servicing technological and structural parts of the design and will require practical experience in that field. The industrial construction Specialist will evaluate constructability and design intent before construction begins. Gain a better understanding of the means, methods, and materials, and how they all come together. Use Revit models to coordinate information to improve office-to-field efficiency, quality assurance, and quality control. Increase construction site layout productivity. Model steel connections with a higher level of detail. Use tools to better connect structural design to detailing, helping reduce time to fabrication. Use integrated content from fabrication products to convey intent beyond the design phase. Create models ready for fabrication and building systems installation. Understand the connection of principal schemes and drawings with BIM model.
Responsibilities

Takes ownership of technical sales opportunities

Investigates, uncovers and understands a customer’s business issues
-
Proposes options for improvement or resolution of customer issues and relates those solutions directly to the customer’ business goals/issues

Performs analysis and leads discovery of adjacent opportunities within an account

Maintains and grows respected, trusted advisor relationships with customers and members of the Autodesk sales force involved with the sales opportunity

Engages in strategic account planning with the sales representative throughout the sales process

Utilises Target Account Selling practices during the sales cycle

Communicates product features, advantages and benefits in pre-sales situations

Presents Autodesk products to prospective customers in the form of presentations
-
Presentations may be live, or via Web-delivery mechanisms. Also provides customer consultation, support and product presentations at industry specific trade shows

Provides product demonstration assistance in customer facing launch events
-
Conducts professional product presentations and demonstrations in large forums that are Autodesk sponsored in order to generate sales and meet revenue objectives (Product Launch Events)

Partners with Autodesk Authorised Resellers

Provides customer facing presentations in the form of dealer seminars and workshops

Works with Authorised Autodesk Reseller technical staff to ensure they are proficient with Autodesk software tools

Partners with them to grow, refine, and enhance their presentation abilities

Supports user group meetings

A TS will become proactive in local and national industry related user groups

Interaction should include presentations, panel discussions and specific product demonstrations

The TS will assist in educating the user groups to publicise the Autodesk message
-
Provides occasional post-sales support

A TS may be requested to provide technical support on a limited basis to strategic accounts
-
This support should only be performed to continue the strategic relationship with the account and should ultimately assist in future sales

The TS should involve existing support channels including Autodesk Authorised Resellers and internal Autodesk Product support

A TS will become an expert in spreading the product message as a product evangelist
-
The TS will convey a positive message to accounts and individuals who are looking for a solution but may not know which product will fit their needs the best
Minimum Qualifications
-
Excellent technical knowledge of Revit (Structure/MEP) and one or more of the following applications: Navisworks, Advance Steel, Plant 3D, BIM 360
-
Knowledge of Intergraph, Tekla, Bentley and/or Aveva are beneficial (but not mandatory)
-
Knowledge of Robot or other calculation; cost control and planning software are beneficial (but not mandatory)

Good understanding of Industrial Construction workflows and processes, participation in multidisciplinary BIM projects
-
Demonstrated ability to work in a team of technical personnel, marketing/sales people and project managers
-
Previous experience of technical sales desirable however we are willing to consider individuals from a non-sales background
-
Excellent communication and presentation skills and good at group facilitation skills
-
Able to travel regularly and enjoy working with diverse groups of people with widely variable technical skills

Prepared to travel across the RCIS Sales Region when required and the U.S., Europe and other global locations when required

Good written and verbal communication skills in Russian and English

Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to learn

Must be a good listener and able to see the other person's point of view

Confirms, qualifies, and clarifies and promotes trust and openness

Agility in assessing, evaluating, and presenting to technical and non-technical customers

Self-starter, ability to self-manage, and enjoys challenges and the opportunity to stretch and grow
Preferred Qualifications

Degree or equivalent qualification or minimum 5+ years Industrial Construction Experience (any industry)
