Responsibilities:

To carry out the activities of his/her competence in compliance with the safety, the budget, the schedule, the quality, the Contract, the Customer procedures, standards and work instructions, the international codes & standards, the applicable law and the good engineering practice;
To coordinate the assigned discipline team by ensuring its adequacy with respect to the requirements of the Project;
To assure the timely production of the documents/deliverables;
To interface with the Customer, the Licensors and Vendors for discipline related activities that have an impact on project budget and schedule;
To interface with the specialists/engineers of the designated Russian Design Institute (R.D.I.), in the execution of the project activities of competence;
To interact with the specialists/engineers of the other engineering disciplines and to support them in the definition of the instrumentation requirements of specific supplies (e.g. machines, packages, etc.);
To check, review and comment, as applicable the specifications and drawings released by other engineering disciplines or by Vendors;
To review and resolve interdisciplinary design and technical issues aimed at ensuring that the most effective and efficient design is selected;
To give assistance from home office to the Site team during construction and/or to the Vendor during shop fabrication, as per the project needs;
To give Site construction support during I&C devices installation and power-on and to lead the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) sign-off for analysis systems and telecom systems;
To actively participate to the Plant Site surveys aimed at collecting all necessary discipline related information and data of the operating Plant in its “as is” status;
To prepare technical specifications and material requisitions (MR), for the supply of instrumentation related devices (i.e. analysis systems, telecom systems, instrumentation itemized equipment, instrumentation bulk materials);
To technically evaluate and tabulate Vendor’s bids of the instrumentation material and equipment and to prepare the technical bid evaluations (TBE);
To execute the instrumentation related engineering activities into the main Smart Plant Instrumentation Modules (instrument index, instrument specification, wiring, loop drawing, hook-up);
To coordinate the development of the instrumentation Vendor’s activities and to check and review the Vendor’s drawings and specifications;
To attend to the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), of the analysis systems and telecom systems;
To actively participate to all project reviews (Hazop, SIL, 3D Model, etc.), as necessary;
To prepare and/or to check the material take-off (MTO) for instrumentation bulk material and to keep it updated during all phases of the project;
To coordinate and to give assistance to the instrumentation engineers involved as applicable and in general to ensure adequate flow of information within the project team;
To keep himself updated about instrumentation design issues, to promote improvements and capitalize project experience, in coordination with the other discipline specialists/engineers;

Requirements:

Bachelor/Masters degree in Engineering with minimum 10-year experience in Instrumentation engineering design for Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry
Proven experience in revamping projects management
Ability to be updated with the latest technical specific improvements of the Instrumentation discipline
Proven knowledge and experience in design of instrumentation systems (including itemized/bulk materials)
Proficiency in IT engineering tools adopted by the Company for the design of instrumentation systems, mainly Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI)
Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards, with a deep focus on standard and laws applicable in Russian Federation
Availability to travel to site for field walks, client meetings, etc.
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions and multiple tasks
