Womenswear Ready to Wear and Accessories UK based brand looking for a Production Manager based in Russia.

At least 5 years of experience, international manufacturing experience, perfectly fluent oral and written English language proficiency.

Frequent Quality Control Trips to Portugal, UK , Italy and possibly Korea.

Negotiation skills, time management, production planning and organisation, managing product development and production teams, pricing control, sourcing best manufacturing opportunities, communication with manufacturers world wide, excellent communication skills and team and time management skills, garment making knowledge and understanding.

Candidate:

Fluent English.

To have a minimum of 5 years experience in a women’s wear Production Management role and have a sound understanding of the wholesale and e-commerce critical path and on time delivery.

Must include RTW Brand experience within their employment history and worked across all women’s wear categories.

Must have proven track record and technical knowledge of knitwear as well as woven and jersey experience, working CMT and Fully Factored with factories in the UK and Europe as well as the Far East.

Ideally have a knowledge of footwear and accessories manufacturing. Good technical knowledge required of construction, in the areas of pattern, fusing and technical print knowledge for placement and technique.

Excellent negotiation skills required for price negotiation for deliveries and pricing with vendors.

Candidate should be a good communicator, highly organized, good at relationship building and maintaining.

Candidate should have a proven track record of managing a team, as well as being a strategic thinker and pro-active and leading with initiative.

Core Responsibilities:

Working within the framework of the seasonal women’s wear production cycles. Specified production duties relate to all categories of RTW & Accessories. Jointly manages the Product Development in achieving seasonal on-time delivery, working with the Product Developer and Atelier at various stages within the season to achieve this.

General Responsibilities :

Raw Material Orders - Manages forecasting estimates of pre-seasonal production fabric/yarn working with the Creative Director, Sales manager and Product Developer. Processing of production orders of raw materials and works with the Product Development & Production Assistant to send hard swatched copies of orders alongside emails to manufacturers and recording order confirmations. Updates order details into the production WIP overview spreadsheet. Monitoring the delivery schedule in accordance with the production planning time line.

Material QC - Manages the PD in the request, archive and check quality references for all production materials prior to commencement of production. Lab test where required.

Range plan - produces seasonal production and vendor feedback as a contribution to range planning at the end of the Production season.

Factory Allocation – leads sampling allocation for proto and SMS allocation.

Production Specifications – Cross checking the issuing of production specifications, alongside the Product Developer according to the PP schedule for production, and checking costings are updated on Zedonk. Attends the general post sales campaign pre-production fit meetings and all pre-production sample fit meetings.

Production Orders - Responsible for all consolidation of orders and subsequent analysis for moqs with Creative Director and Sales Manager and presents internally with Directors for sign off. Uses initiative to renegotiate best possible price once final production quantities are analyzed. Oversees the printing and issuing production orders post consolidation and once orders are raised on Zedonk and prepares these to be signed by the designated signatories. Manages the issuing of the production orders once approved and signed off, to the relevant factories and sends copies to accounts. Ultimately responsible for amending Zedonk with any updates to manufacturing or material prices post sales campaign and notifying the Sales team and Directors of weekly of updates.

Pre-Production Samples – Responsible for the chasing and tracking of all pre-production samples via a tracking spreadsheet and creates priority lists depending on factory scheduling for the sealing process. Is involved in the fitting of PP’s with the PD & Production Assistant to troubleshoot and ensure on time delivery. Actions weekly internal catch up meeting.

Brand Label & Composition Label Placement - Oversees that the seasonal label placement manual for each individual maker is sent. Produces a seasonal PDF detailing all fibre composition and care symbols for care label printing and for use of web, sales and digital. (Look into developing a label placement/corporate ID manual that only requires small seasonal amendments)

Invoices - Manages the processing production invoices and personally checks and signs for payment and archiving afterwards, liaising with accounts to receive payment confirmations and passing this information to factories as required. Chasing outstanding payments on behalf of factories where necessary. Filing paid invoices in the relevant seasonal budget archive. Managing invoices alongside the monthly cost report and seasonal budget.

Monitoring the Production Cycle - Ultimately responsible for seasonal on-time delivery using the WIP overview spreadsheet to chase vendors and update the status of production runs. Liaise directly with manufacturers and supply them with relevant production spreadsheets. Provide regular internal updates to the Sales and Brand Hanger as required. Manage and update the seasonal production collection range plan. Ensures that timely QC’s are conducted and trouble shoots any issues that arise from this that negatively affect on time delivery.

Production Budget - Manages the Production Budget and reports & highlights any concerns within the seasonal budget and trouble shoots where necessary.

Stock Control – Works with the Sales team on inventory and ensure that accurate records are being to be handed over to Directors and Accounts at the end of the Production Season.

Faulty Goods – provides feedback support for Sales/E-comm on returned goods and determines whether issues need to be escalated. Creates and manages a faulty goods report that is analyzed seasonally.

Travel/Factory Visits/QC - Makes visit to factories as required to hand over production instructions and launch production orders as required. Develops a seasonal factory schedule for garment QC and participates in inspections as required.

Pricing - Meets at regular intervals in the development season and at Production order placing stage to discuss pricing with Sales & Product Development. Responsible for Margin reporting once book close and at end of the Production season.

Strategy – Works with the Senior Product Developer on the company sourcing strategy with a view to researching new sourcing opportunities.

Counter Sourcing – Uses initiative and pro-actively leads strategy in exploring seasonal counter sourcing, working with the Directors and Product Developer to formulate. Prepares packs, tracks counter sampling and makes relevant recommendations.

Opening/Closing of Season – works to ensure season is opened and closed properly from an administrative and inventory business perspective.

Reporting – Ultimately responsible for departmental reporting, (ie seasonal delivery analysis for vendors, seasonal margin analysis, seasonal punting analysis, Managing the faulty goods report, etc)
