Area Manager Major Accounts Sales Division Russia
The Area Manager is a critical and highly visible position. In this leadership role we require an extraordinary sales coach and business mentor with a proven track record in driving incredible team performance and sales & revenue expansion.
Your role:
* Setting the sales & operational strategy for the assigned Russian Major Accounts Sales team. Evangelizing & driving an overachievement culture.
* Defining goals, establish metrics, measuring attainment of those goals and encourage / ensure their compliance. Ensure accuracy on forecasting & pipelining.
* Territory planning to drive increased utilization of accounts focusing on both retention and new business.
* Recruiting, motivating and leading a team of 6 sales associates. Accelerating the ramp up of new hires.
* Coaching and mentoring team to maximize on the sales process. Inspiring through training, performance management, and opportunity creation.
* Fostering strong internal support network ecosystem
* Actively participating on the sales cycle to bring leadership and strategic support to larger deals.
* Achieving or overachieving financial targets
* Developing and executing strategy for achievement of business results tied to overall sales strategy
* Attracting and retaining top talent within sales team by following Gartner's proven recruitment methodology, with a strong focus on building a pipeline of candidates for potential open territories
* Driving high activity by conducting team prospecting sessions with direct reports
* Ensuring that each team member is capable of developing and maintaining C-level relationships * * Providing leadership through the effective communication of the global strategy
*Coaching and developing direct reports on a regular basis
* Maximizing the team's success through effective leadership and coaching
* Taking ownership for own professional growth and support the team's professional growth
Your background:
* Established success as a sales manager. Maniacally focused on sales excellence.
* Belief in outcome & value based selling ideally within the IT, software or consulting industries. Accomplished at solving business problems. We Gartner provide value, not discounts.
* Strong business acumen, strategic thinking and ability to understand broader business implication of
decisions. Promoting a vision that resonates with your team and with your customers
* Strong communicator - clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing. Your presentation skills
are compelling, relevant & memorable. You use your influencing skills and communication skills to
share knowledge with a team to support the growth strategy within sales.
* Well connected at C level. Deep market knowledge ideally across variety of industries and sectors in Russia.
* Outstanding relationship builder - collaborating with all levels of an organization, bullet-proof integrity.
* Self-motivated, intellectually curious and resilient are terms others describe you as.
* Creative and resourceful – you will always find a way to delight a customer

* Multi-tasking skills to prioritize in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
* Recruiting – you have attracted, grown and promoted sales people under your leadership.
* Minimum 12+ years proven consultative sales experience in high technology (services, software or hardware), with 3+ years of management experience.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and motivate sales associates
* Proven ability to understand enterprise wide issues and to structure innovative, integrated solutions that provide IT decisions support to global organizations in achieving their business goals
* Proven consistent over achievement of sales quotas and financial commitments
* Strong Forecasting Skills with Personal accountability for forecasting accuracy
* Strong business and personal Ethics and Integrity, following Corporate Code of Conduct and Corporate policy on Expense Management.
* Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, sales acumen, managing others
* Sales leadership trainings (preferred)
* Bachelor’s degree, with strong evidence of success in school
* Master’s or advanced degree a plus
* Business fluent in Russian and English
