Position

Senior Freight manager

Main Responsibilities

• Supervising full range of chartering activities of the company (about 25 MT/year in bulk).

• Ensure tonnage is supplied to customers in a proper and timely manner.

• Controlling related internal processes, both within the chartering department (about 10-12 people) and interaction with other departments.

• Ensure proper records of all shipments and activities of the department in the internal freight system.

• Reporting to management and traders on vessel and cargo movements and details, regularly and on demand.

• Resolving problems with Ship Owners and other direct counterparties.

• Follow and evaluate shipping market conditions, preparing market overviews and reports for management, regular and on demand.

• Other tasks, relevant to the position and assigned by direct manager.

• Report to Head of Chartering (including readiness to temporarily fulfil functions of Head of Chartering)

  Requirements

• Relevant work experience of 5 years in bulk chartering around the world.

• Deep knowledge of the international shipping market.

• Practical skills in freight trading, COA, TC, buy/sell.

• International mindset, self-directed, flexibility to different environments and capacity to be a team worker.

• Ability to travel worldwide.

• Ability to work with full force and concentration on the tasks to be fulfilled.

• Strong presentation and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Special freight IT solutions. Knowledge of Veson IMOS is an advantage.

• Knowledge of Russian language.

• Required permanent location - UAE
