Our client - famous high-lux fashion company is looking for talented Retail Merchandising Manager (RMM).

Main Objectives:

The RMM is actively involved in the development of sales in Russia and CIS by a close and regular monitoring of sales, stocks and merchandising.

The RMM provides assistance in order to have the best product offer in line with commercial strategy and budget objectives in close cooperation with Country Manager, Store Managers and Europe Headquarter.

Main Tasks:

Buying process:

  • Open to Buy process in line within the strategy of the subsidiary and Europe:
  • Define OTB for stores in close collaboration with Country Manager and Finance Director, in line with sales budget
  • Define a buying strategy for new products, WTW, harmony of the future offer in stores, good balance between novelties and best sellers
  • Define a strategy of development by category of products based on local and European global strategy.
  • Propose and implement relevant tools for Store Managers to prepare their buying (analysis, trends, competition overview...) and all year long.
  • Provide buying advice and assistance during Podium & preview.
  • Consolidate and analize buying.
  • Propose the PSI buying strategy per store / category (number of references per store and min-max definition). Follow-up throughout the year in close relation with store managers (PSI, PASQ).
  • Monitor and control reorders and special orders.
  • Validate stores’ order for LMH, Perfumes and LTH.
  • Reactively answer to all solicitations from Headquarters: Europe feedbacks, Customer Service offers

Support business:

  • Monitor closely stock level and propose any relevant action to optimize sales & stocks. Optimize every opportunity to move stock throughout the business reducing the financial impact of depreciating goods. Transfers can be organized within Russia, Europe or at a larger scale, if possible.
  • Follow-up on deliveries with Europe Customer service to ensure proper flows and adapt the priorities if necessary for the business (new products, events…).
  • Propose to the Country Manager any other actions in order to boost sales (specific incentives, training…).
  • Monitor the destocking operations (staff sales and discontinued products to be returned to Paris).
  • Collect from Europe benchmarks on others subsidiaries performance.
  • Use the tools and adapt them if necessary to benefit the stores.
  • Understand the market and analyze the business:
    • Develop and share qualitative and quantitative relevant reports with detailed analysis to understand business opportunities and risks,
    • Analyze customer feedbacks,
    • Analyze competitors price positioning and product launching,
  • Regular store visits in order to bring assistance to store managers and to understand customer’s trends.
  • Sales analysis.
  • Regular reporting and analysis on KPI’s (Sales, per product line/per store + Store KPI’s: traffic, conversion rate, UPT, cross selling…).
  • Work closely with Visual Merchandiser: optimize all products at the right time at the right place, define product animation plans per season (launch, incentives…).
  • Coordination with Communication Dpt for special event (availability of products, coordination with Stores…).

Budget, commercial strategy:

  • Assist the Country Manager to build the forecast plan for sales, expenses and level of stock in close collaboration with the Store Managers and the Finance Director: budget, Open to Buy and strategic plan (B+2).

Commercial referent for Russia:

  • Play an active role in the Retail Merchandising Europe community:
    • Work closely with the Europe Merchandise managers and subsidiaries partners
    • Share and help the implementation of Europe strategy within the subsidiary
    • Share all best practices
    • Sales forecasts feedback

  • Create a strong partnership with Store managers:
    • Share information: feedback from stores, sales reports, market trends.
    • Collect benchmarks on others subsidiaries performance.
    • Use tools implemented by sales force and adapt them if necessary to benefit the stores.
    • Participate to the store morning briefs when necessary (product launches…).
    • Coordinate regular market visits with Europe Area Managers in the Russian stores.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years working experience on business analysis and/or retail merchandising. Experience in luxury is welcomed, but not necessary. Experience in fashion but also perfume, cosmetics, acsessories etc.. Experience in foreign company with good organizational structure and KPI system is a must.
  • Strong analytic skills: ability to crunch data, explain results and propose action plan accordingly.
  • Computer proficiency: excel (excellent level required) + reporting tools (Cognos, TM1 or equivalent).
  • Very good relation skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-task environment, with clear timelines.
  • Organized, pro-active.
  • Talent, out of the box thinking
  • Creativity and strong business acumen in the same time
  • Team player.
  • Fluent in English.
