We have a vacancy of Catering Logistics Manager (location Park Kultury). It’s a fixed contract (till about summer 2018).
About Us:
We are a major player in the sports hospitality arena, delivering turnkey solutions to clients in the areas of sales and operations. Our company has the expertise and experience to deliver both the catering and production elements at major events and is responsible for the entire operation of the FIFA Hospitality Programme. The company is based in Zurich with offices in the UK, South Africa, Brazil and Russia (Moscow). FIFA appointed our company as the worldwide exclusive rights holder of the FIFA Hospitality Programme including the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups™, as well as for the FIFA Confederations Cups in 2017 and 2021 and the FIFA Women's World Cups™ in 2019 and 2023.
Job Duties:
- The essential job functions are:
- The basic purpose of the Catering Logistics Manager is to be responsible for the logistics planning and management for the catering services provided through contracted catering service providers (CSPs) to hospitality programmes at the Official Hospitality villages and stadiums for both the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 as well as the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ in Russia.
- The Catering Logistics Manager is involved in all aspects of mobilisation and logistical planning such as:
- Mentor and assist local caterers in pre planning of logistics including but not limited to the catering infrastructure, equipment and procurement and installation and beverage management operations.
- Develop on venue logistic operating plans
- Mentor and assist local caterers in tournament time logistic operations and planning
- Develop standard operating procedures
- Develop safe systems of work
- Contract Management
- PDF Mark-up, DWG mark-up
- Material Handling equipment planning
- Logistical route/resource Planning.
- Mobilisation planning
- Manage Master Delivery Schedule system
- Develop MDS plans with CSPs
- MSF planning
- Mentor and assist CSPs with all logistics and security challenges of the tournament
The initial phase of the role will involve planning at the Head office in Moscow. The second phase will be the mobilisation and operational phase and will involve the mobilisation and supervisory trouble shooting relating to the operations, ensuring delivery of the Catering Logistical operations in conjunction with the Catering service providers, and or venue cluster managers and venue managers.
The Catering Logistics Manager has the following external relationships: Key service providers, sub-contractors, labour brokers, FIFA, LOC, Arena.
The Catering Logistics Manager has the following internal relationships: The Procurement Committee, Technical & Operations team, Guest Services team,
Affiliates team, VIP/VVIP team, Inventory & Fulfilment team, Finance, Legal, Human Resource Management, Senior Management, and Post Sales, Food Safety.
Working hours are 10h00-19h00 Monday-Friday. Due to the nature of the business the Employee will be required to work after hours and at weekends as required.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
The essential job functions of the Catering Logistics Manager are:
- Develop a sound and close working relationship, good understanding and synergies with all our contracted catering service providers, as well as the Technical Infrastructure and Logistics Manager, Technical Specialist, and other catering operations managers which will be the foundation of a strong Catering Team for the FCC 2017 and the 2018 FWC in Russia.
- Monitor and support the beverage management logistic operation.
- Ensure suitable storage and logistics spaces available, and marked on plans as required
- Assist in the Coordination, set up and implementation of SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for FCC 2017 and 2018 FWC catering operations.
- Ensure compliance to all national and local Russian laws and international legislation relating to Health Safety and Hygiene standards and regulations within the catering industry, event and or construction industry as required.
- Liaise, develop and maintain sound professional relationships with the LOC, ARENA 2018, FIFA, Host Cities and other officials and stakeholders relating to all Official Hospitality Programme’s catering planning, production and operations for the FCC 2017 and 2018 FWC.
- Project Planning throughout the Procurement phase through to contracted Catering service provider operational delivery
- Develop and define logistics plans and procedures per Official Hospitality Catering Programme and or Village and Venue location with designated catering service providers.
- Provide on-going reports to the Catering Technical Infrastructure and Logistics Manager; regarding the monthly progress and activities;
- Develop and facilitate Catering Service Provider workshops/educational sessions where required to ensure delivery of MATCH Hospitality required Catering services
- Assist with Local catering providers in the design of the catering operational storage and logistics spaces.
- Liaise with the LOC/ FIFA and contracted service providers on equipment materials lists, and master delivery schedule plans
Key Competencies
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the Russian major event catering industry with a particular focus on catering services, logistics or production at international sporting events and stadium operations.
- Previous large scale and international events organising experience.
- Extensive experience in clear document control and file management
- An in-depth understanding of global sporting event logistics and security challenges
- An in-depth understanding of onsite logistics requirements
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communications capability
- Experience in pdf mark-up. DWG Plan reading and amending.

- Fluent in both written and spoken Russian and English.
- Ability to work together in a team towards the realisation of fixed goals and deadlines.
