Role Description:

We are currently on the hunt for a Data Analyst with a strong IT background and a good understanding of finance to join our M&A/IPO Advisory team. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with substantial volumes of financial data. The primary focus will be on data pre-processing and aggregation as well as the technical aspects of financial modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in data pre-processing and analysis; assist with financial modelling.

• Help build automated systems of collecting and processing financial data.

• Build strong financial analysis skills to complement your existing IT skills.

• Supervise minor data entry tasks where automation would be more expensive.

Secondary Responsibilities (as necessary):

• Research client’s peers for the purpose of comparative analysis.

• Help prepare compelling presentations and business plans, highlighting the financial value and potential of our clients.

• Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes, and investor expectations to effectively position our client.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Mathematics (especially Applied Mathematics), Finance, Economics or similar.

• Proficient user of Excel/Google Sheets, including advanced operations on data ranges.

• Strong skills in Python and/or JavaScript (VBA may be considered as an alternative).

• Good understanding of financial statements.

• Ideally, good understanding of how to prompt large language models to assist you in minor coding tasks and to assist you with unknown financial concepts.

• A strong analytical mindset is a must.

• Keen eye for detail.

• Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Russian C1 or above. Higher = better.

• English B1 or above. Higher = better.

Opportunities:

• Can be fast-tracked into a top management position.

• May participate in the firm’s international expansion (English C1+ required).

Working Conditions:

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Moscow time, with an optional 1-hour lunch break (which will entail working till 7:00 PM). Working hours are negotiable for strong candidates located in different time zones.

• Work can be done remotely from anywhere in the world or from our office in central Moscow (31 Yakimanka St; to be discussed).
