Senior Lawyer, who is expected to be pro-active in guiding the business on legal matters and substantial transactional involvement will be a feature of this position. In particular, the following responsibilities are key:

- Providing legal support to the commodities trading business.

- Responsibility for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documentation (sale and purchase contracts).

- Interacting with the commodity sales teams and traders to address legal issues as they arise in day-to-day trading activities. - Reviewing, monitoring and driving implementation of regulatory developments relating to commodities (financial, physical and commodity-specific).

- Liaising and coordinating with other relevant groups throughout the firm, including other members of the legal department, trading, finance, accounting, derivative-desk, operations.

- Involvement in reviews of new markets and new products.

Qualifications/Personal Attributes:

- The candidate must be good at international contract law, English law knowledge is the must.

- International LLM degree is the Must!!!

- Knowledge of maritime law, or transportation law would be a plus.

- Work experience within oil and gas company.

- Knowledge of English Law.

- Excellent analytical capabilities, as well as problem-solving skills, are a must have.

- Bachelor’s or master degree, preferably in international law, maritime law, commercial law, transportation law. A Master’s degree is desirable but not required. Holders of degrees from reputable European universities will be given priority.

- Must have an ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment as well as strong organizational skills and must be able to work under pressure and out of office hours.

- Must be detail oriented and demonstrate thoroughness and strong ownership of work.

- Must have an inquisitive mindset with strong desire to learn new subjects and disciplines.

- High level of proficiency in English/Russian (both written and oral).

- Good computer skills.
