• Develop, maintain and proactively update the necessary knowledge and expertise on local and international regulations on our products and their application areas
• Ensure that all products, handled in Omya, on behalf of Omya and placed on the market follow the regulations for intended uses
• Follow regulatory environment, upcoming changes relevant to our business and market segments
• Communicate new / revised regulatory or other needs timely and effectively with relevant functions
• Work within a cross-functional matrix environment including Legal, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales and Innovation team members to review process/ product/ market related regulatory requirements
• Where applicable; manage external consultants and resource with respect to issues requiring specialized regulatory expertise.
• Manage product documentation in relevant area
• Assure effective quality management system set up and beyond where necessary (food safety, feed safety, etc.)
• Provide regulatory registration support where necessary
• Conduct compliance reviews, support risk assessments and audits where relevant; provide training to the appropriate business units where necessary
• Assure effective customer complaint management
• Represent the company in various associations where it is necessary, or value added
• Manage customer interactions, questions and needs in relevant area.Produce regulatory compliance statements for customers.
• SAP EHS data management for all served products
• Identify new regulatory developments and trends and market needs/opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, food engineering, life sciences, pharmaceutical or related discipline
• Advanced English communication skills
• 5+ years regulatory management experience (Experience in multi-national consumer product, chemical, agricultural companies, or government agency or consulting firms working with such companies).
• Knowledge of current global and local regulations on product compliance (preferable in food, feed, pharma, cosmetics industry) and chemical inventories
• Computer literate; effectively utilize web-based and internal databases and systems such as SAP
