☑ Подробности о вакантном месте:
Aramco Research Center – Moscow is offering great job opportunities for innovative material scientists and engineers and chemists. Advanced materials can play a key role in the creation of more economical and higher performing chemicals and materials for the demanding field applications of upstream oil and gas discovery and recovery operations. These applications span drilling engineering, production engineering, and reservoir engineering. Good alignment between emerging technologies in the field of advanced materials with full attention to special applications needs have the potential to result in disruptive and high impact new solutions for upstream oil and gas industry.
Advanced Materials Scientist (Only receive profile in English)
Drilling Engineering:
Advanced materials have applications in several high impact parts of drilling operations. As global drilling fluid demand increases along with the depth and overall complexity of well design, drilling fluids must be reengineered to increase performance and efficiency. Four of the challenges which currently impact drilling operations may find new solutions in advanced material research. These include 1) loss circulation of drilling fluids; 2) stuck pipe; 3) well control; and 4) loss of long term wellbore isolation (CCA). In addition to fluid applications, new technologies in high strength composite materials offer radical new opportunities for rig and drill-string design which may result in significant changes to the core technologies used to conduct traditional drilling operations.
Production Engineering:
The Production Engineering covers a wide range of processes that rely solely on Advanced Materials. These involve both the wellbore and the near wellbore area. Profound knowledge of advanced chemistries, complex fluids and nanotechnologies is critical to develop new technologies for use in Production Engineering. Development of new chemical solutions to be applied in areas such as productivity enhancement, fracturing fluids, energized fluids, pulse fracturing, acidizing and other subsurface production applications. Materials are used for example in: 1) fracturing; 2) water control; 3) wettability alteration; 4) matrix acidizing; 5) scale removal; 6) water treatment membranes; and 7) pipes coating for corrosion protection. On the standalone materials side, the knowledge of materials chemistry is critical to develop new membrane technologies for water treatment.
Reservoir Engineering:
Advanced materials are integral part of Reservoir Engineering including reservoir characterization, evaluation, monitoring, and optimization. Advanced materials such as functional nanoparticles that are stable and mobile under the high pressure, temperature, and salinity conditions typical to oil and gas reservoirs are used for in-situ sensing and intervention applications. Nanoparticles are used to deliver treatments deep into the reservoir for improved characterization and recovery. Nanomaterial coatings and assemblies are used to improve logging and cross-well communication tools.
Open Jobs:
Advanced Materials Program Director: an experienced individual in materials synthesis and characterization with more than 12 years of experience with a PhD degree. Successful applicants should have strong track records in pioneering the creation of new materials for oil and gas industry upstream field operations.
Advanced Materials Scientist: individuals with experience in developing and characterizing materials for upstream oil and gas field applications. Fresh PhD graduate are also welcome. Successful candidates should have noticeable track records in materials synthesis and characterization.
Lab Technician: individuals with experience in assisting researchers in laboratory operations to run and observe materials synthesis experiments and characterization measurements. Knowledge of lab safety and standard operating procedures as well as standard lab instruments is essential for successful applicants.
