Role: Team Lead
Functions:
- ClientsFirst. Be the client of the product you are building and ensure the teammates are. Test yourself. Know client pains and competitors' killing features.
- ResponsibleForGrowth. Yes, you are responsible for traction. You know how each release affects users' acquisition, retention, transaction and referral growth.
- OverDeliver. Ensure the mobile team over delivers well-engineered and tested features from backlog priorities and sprints planned. Performance either accelerate or decline. Always grow.
- PrioritizeBacklog. You help prioritize backlog with your story points estimates vs expected value for clients. Any developer should know how to make a critical hit and break the wall of traction with a single bullet - the well defined and prioritized story Developers should know their potential backlog for a year.
- SyncDev. Coordinate middleware and backend trading/matching teams to meet in time the product team and users' requirements. Lead on teamwide breakfasts sync, pop up at standups and sprints of teams needed to get sync.
- LeadCoreFeatures. Beat world benchmarks in trading interfaces, trading charts, payments, fiat exchange, price and asset discovery, news and financial social functions.
- BuildVision. Give a meaning. Be a proactive visionary leader encouraging others to think big and envision the future. So teammates are excited about what and why they are building.
- MissionToStories. Any developer should know how their today's Story changes the financial system in 5 years, so they know why to do an extraordinary effort. Make teamwide discussions and voting of backlog priorities.
- BuildUpTeam. Hire and train top talent with inspiring and stretching stories, OKRs, and missions. Ensure teammates know how they grow with us and are excited about it.
- RaiseSuccessors. Promote leads for raising their successors which have greater potential than their supervisor. Including your role.
- RaiseTheBar. Reward motivated achievers hitting the targets, building scrum processes, protocols, principles, and culture, and lay off laggards who need reminders.
- ShiftBenchmarks. Know and beat the best practices in crypto exchanges, trading, and payments. Demand it from others.
- AssaultOnImpediments. Ensure standups and sprints are assaults on impediments. Remove people unwilling to make their performance and impediments transparent.
- FocusResponsibility. Ensure teammates know their mission, responsibility areas, and grow to perfection in understanding the client experience and technology.
- MentorForBest. Detect slowing performance and mentor to find a greater solution and hit the target.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in development management.
- 5+ years of experience in iOS mobile development
- Visionary doer capable to put together - the company mission, clients, team and mobile developers across trading, payments, listings, pitching products in the mobile app.
- Experience in tech startups or high pace international corporations, consultancy, VC, capital markets or blockchain is an advantage.
- Starts with why and a vision of the destination to hit the target with a single bullet at all costs.
- Raises the bar, stretch OKRs and encourage to get out of comfort zone to hit the target.
- Seeks solutions, not excuses and demand the same from others.
- Recognizes her failures, learn and triple effort, never bother to defend herself.
- Does not hide or retreat from problems, takes responsibility, and get shit done.
- Force others to get shit done.
- Enjoys stress to solve hard problems and grow - diamonds are born in a star blast pressure.
- Solves hard problems, does not hide or retreat from problems.
- Radically transparent - gives direct feedback, never backtalk.
- Puts the interest of clients first, loyal and openminded.
- Fully committed, does not betray and blur focus with side projects.
- Problem solving and critical reasoning skills (700+ GMAT level / won city level olympiad).
- Knows the Hard things from Ben Horowitz, Ray Dalio, Jeff Sutherland, John Doerr etc and seek to learn from titans while always has her opinion.
