A Dubai based startup in the PropTech industry is looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer.

Founded in 2020 by an ex Engineer from Uber (and Microsoft) and a graduate from San Francisco university the company is growing 40%+ every month currently reaching 100 team members.

The start-up has just raised one of the largest seed rounds in MENA, receiving investments from Amir Farha (Cotu), B&Y Ventures, Plug and Play. And has applied for the next round.

They have attracted the brightest talent from Revolut, Loft, Nubank and actively expanding their team beyond the borders.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will solve complex frontend engineering tasks for the React.js based application. We expect you to be familiar with the best testing practices, be experienced in writing REST calls using JSON serialization, familiar with Agile methodologies.

This role will start remotely and then there is a possibility of relocation to Dubai, UAE if you are willing so.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years commercial development experience;
• Skilled with common technologies such as JS, CSS, HTML and their modern features ( jQuery, bootstrap, materialize, etc.);
• Experienced with REST and JSON;
• Experienced with best testing practices;
• Can review other engineers pull requests, mentor and onboard new engineers;
• Experienced with GIT/versioning;
• Familiar with design tools like Figma, and able to build on a design system;
• Loves to share knowledge and document developments using tools like Confluence, Coda, etc;
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams;
• Ability to give clarity and communicate well with the team;
• Collaborative and communicative approach to problem-solving;
• Comfortable with working in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.

Preferred qualification:

• 3y + with react.js (redux, Styled components, Axios, Cypress);
• Experience working in a start-up, preferably during the early stage.

Nice to have:

None of this is required but we will be impressed if:

• Experience with SSR JS Node.js/Next.js etc;
• Built apps on Python;
• Experience with analytics tools, like Google Analytics, MixPanel.
