Background

Information and telecommunication theories create a big amount of challenges in field of applied mathematics. The most complicated tasks appear in so called physical layer where we work mostly with physical fields and digital representation of those. Strong competence in nonlinear differential equations, non-convex optimization, linear algebra and discrete math allow to break through the limiting issues and help engineers to create modern equipment with high information capacity.

Responsibilities:

• Research and innovation in the area of nonlinear dynamic systems, information theory, discrete optimization.
• Theory exploration, advanced algorithm design, analysis, and simulation.
• Working and communicating effectively in cross-function team and cooperate with academic / industrial partner.

Required qualifications:

• Familiarity in differential equations theory, numerical math, convex optimization, linear algebra
• Familiarity with information theory and redundant coding.
• Familiarity with python/Matlab/C++.
• Familiarity with theory and common algorithms of telecommunication digital signal processing.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Desired qualifications:

• PhD/Master degree in Applied Mathematics/Physics/Computer Science or other related fields.
• Strong background in applied math, nonlinear differential equations, linear algebra, variational approach, control theory.
• Experience of software development for high speed calculations with using GPU or for FPGA/ASIC implementation.
• Familiarity with conventional or machine learning based optimization algorithm.
