This position is located in the office of the SMS Group LLC in Chelyabinsk

Job Role & Objectives:

  1. The primary objective of this role is, as being the owner of the regional product group business plan to develop, to continuously update if needed and to drive those business plan – set SMART targets, formulate strategic actions accordingly and push the implementation process all the way through.
  2. Secondary objective of this role is to develop CIS market in terms of pro active-sales activities using SMS groups ?Technical Outsourcing Service nosegay.
  3. Third objective of this role is to implement and champion a reliability culture – driving mindset of sales & operation forces towards continuous improvement, risk management and reliability excellence.
  4. Fourth objective of this role is to implement, to ensure the application as well as to pinpoint continuously improvement potential in terms of SMS groups TOS project management process and related guideline to the executive management and global product management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To own and drive the TOS product group business plan on regional level and align those with the regional executive management and global product management.
  • To develop sales targets and pro-actively push the sales organization towards those including necessary stakeholder management supported by executive & key account management.
  • To lead and continuously develop the product sales force in close collaboration with global product management.
  • To foster new business models (such as “Equipment as a Service”) and new services (e.g. “Smart Maintenance Solutions”) while developing new and / or existing customers.
  • To take over the position as “Project Manager Sales” (if and where needed) and manage / coordinate the respective project internally and externally through the entire process with the assigned project team specialists.
  • To ensure the compliance with our existing TOS project management guideline in general.
  • To review continuously our existing TOS project management process and respective guideline and pinpoint improvement potential to the regional and global project portfolio management.
  • To implement SMS group’s REX approach / philosophy in RCIS – therefore lead and develop the Reliability Excellence function on regional level.
  • To review continuously our existing REX product, it’s definitions, processes and procedures to identify gaps and set recommendations for continuous improvement and present to the global head of reliability engineered excellence and regional executive management for strategic approvals.
  • To champion a reliability culture – driving mindset towards continuous improvement and reliability excellence.
  • To manage and lead the REX product through all phases of our operational business, from sales to order execution / operation – customers could be internal (SMS group) or external operations (customer).
Experience & Requirements :
  • The successful candidate should have gained 8 - 12 years’ experience in sales / sales management (project-based business) in larger enterprises across Russian Federation and eventually experience in consultancy business (e.g. Operational Excellence, Reliability Engineering) in heavy engineering industry; advantage definitely given if this is specifically within the Iron and Steel Industry. Background knowledge about operations (e.g. Iron and Steel Industry) and its maintenance - processes, planning & coordination therof - would be definitely beneficial.

  • At least 6-8 years of the 12 years’ experience the candidate should have been involved in the field of sales / sales management in a leading position – teambuilding, inspiration, motivation, appreciation, communication and target orientation should pass through his/her veins.

  • We are looking for passionate sales managers at heart who live and breathe pro-active sales & stakeholder management at all-time all the way through – the successful candidate should be a “DRIVER”. Constant motivation to keep moving things forward is an absolute must.

  • We are looking for strong inspired candidates – having mindset and passion not only for sales but at same time for continuous improvement, lean management / production, operational excellence and project management – that have additionally profound knowledge about the philosophy of Reliability Engineering/Operational Excellence. Consequently, we are looking for a candidate with proven experience in training, coaching and supporting others.

  • The candidate should be qualified with a degree in an engineering field (e.g. Iron and Steel) and / or business administration at best with focus on sales / sales management (e.g. focus on industrial goods sector). It would be very beneficial if the candidate hold further certified trainings and qualifications in relation to Reliability Engineering/Operational Excellence subjects (Lean Management, Six Sigma…) and / or International Project Management.

  • The successful candidate should hold a sound acquaintance of the well-known (PM) tool-sets as well as MS Office (e.g. MS-Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS-Project). Methods / Words like Change Management, Project Plan, Business Case, DMAIC, Quality Gate, and Customer Relationship Management should not be a borrowed word. Basic knowledge of business management & financials is an additional advantage.

  • Fluent English (written and oral) is mandatory in this position because of communication with regional executive management and global product management in Germany as daily business. The execution of SMS group’s project management is in English. Russian mother tongue. An additional benefit would be German.
